He was instrumental in the establishment of the Jim Corbett National Park, India’s first national park, founded in 1936 in the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand. The park is known for its rich biodiversity, dense forests, and being the first site for India’s Project Tiger, a conservation initiative launched in 1973.
